FISH ON!!!

December 8, 2006

Danny, my son from California, and I had an absolute ball fishing with you. Talk about successful fishing trips!!! We brought 20 King Salmon to the boat, we laughed until we had tears in our eyes, we learned a more “subtle” kind of fishing from you that really paid off. We came home with memories from two days fishing that will be with us forever.

The River Fishing Experience you provide is really amazing. The water is calm, pristine, and really beautiful. Your knowledge of the River guided us to pockets of fish that were awesome. Your patience and skill taught us a successful way of hooking and landing King Salmon. And, speaking of patience, not once did you roll your eyes in disgust when you retied my Fly Rig for the 50th time.

We owe you the gratitude we felt for the role you played in providing two adult men the opportunity to catch up on each other’s lives, recall 25yrs of past fishing expeditions (both successful and not so successful) and to create a whole new set of memories. For this we will be eternally appreciative. In this era of marketing, all you have to do is ask yourself. How did the experience with Captain Russ meet our expectations. My friend, you exceeded every expectation we had for this two day fishing trip. I would unequivocally, recommend the “Captain Russ Experience” to every friend I have.

Here’s to next year and two more days on the Muskegon River with Captain Russ!!

Warm Regards,

How We Catch Salmon
We Site Fish. We Hunt throughout the River for “Set Up Fish” We Anchor 30-40’ to the side & a little upstream. Using either a Fly or Spinning Rod (Your Choice) we drift Flies and/or Bait, Tapping the Bottom through the Spawning Fish. When we Hook a Fish we Drift Back below the Fish to make him “Fight the Rod & the Current” giving the Angler a “Distinct Advantage”. We use the Anchor Winch to “Control Boat Speed & Position” Once we’ve either Landed or Lost the Fish, we set up again and get another one going
