September is a Great Time to go Charter Fishing for King Salmon and Coho Salmon. As the October Salmon Spawning
Run approaches, King Salmon and Coho Salmon stagging at the St. Joseph Michigan Pier Head become
a Prime Target.
September Lake Michigan Salmon Fishing Charters are really a continuation
of the excellent August Salmon Fishing with more Adult King Salmon. Open Water Lake Michigan Charter Fishing at the 100’ Deep
Water Break is Outstanding, and Very Reliable. Afternoon King Salmon Fishing
Charters at the St. Joesph River Pier Head when boat traffic thins out are Thrilling! These King Salmon are naturally “Boat Shy” they
bite much better when there are fewer boats, and less pressure. FISH
ON!!!

We Salmon Fished in 4-6’ Waves,they
didn’t mind they were all about Catching
Salmon. Everyone helped out Brian Hazel in the Blue
T-Shirt nearly ran the whole Bird Program by himself.

I Chartered a Fishing Trip for
my family and friends with Captain Russ Jarvis aboard
the Fin Nailer this past
September, and we had the absolute best time on this trip.
I
grew up fishing Lake Michigan with my dad and brothers,
and
I have to say the experience we had on the Fin Nailer was
Great. |
| Captain Russ never stopped working
for us, trying new water areas, different lures and presentations
for catching some BIG FISH. The Fin Nailer is a great boat
to fish on the big lake. |
We had some Big Lake Rookies with
our group who
are now Seasoned Pros thanks to Captain Russ. We are definitely going to be back
on the water with Captain Russ aboard the Fin Nailer! |

| Jerry Curry’s 2nd Lake Michigan Charter
Fishing Trip was
just as productive as the July 16th Trip. They
Boated over 30 Lake Trout, King Salmon, and Coho Salmon. We revived and returned
several King Salmon. I always have a Great Catch with
these guys on the Charter Fishing Boat. Nicely Done Guys!! |

| On this Lake Michigan Fishing Charter we had a nice Mixed Bag Catch of King Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Lake Trout. 19 Trout and Salmon including the
20+ lb Lake Trout in the lower center. Not Bad for
that Man’s 1st Time Out!

The Fin Nailer is one of the cleanest
boats I have ever been on as a
Charter. It was large enough for 6 big guys to have ample room to
move around. |
| Captain Russ has an incredible knowledge
of fishing and the Lake.
He knows where the fish area and just what bait to use to catch the
Big Ones. He also ran multiple sets which resulted in multiple Fish
being caught at the same time. There is nothing like 3 or 4 Fish
hitting the poles at the same time. Now that is Excitement! |
| Captain Russ is the hardest working
captain of any Charter
Company we have fished with. He allowed us to participate in the Fishing Experience,
and didn’t just leave us sitting there. |
| I will definitely use Captain Russ
and the Fin Nailer for all of my future Charter Fishing

September Lake Michigan Salmon Fishing Charter Weather and Sea Conditions
|
|
Lake Michigan is very reliable through through September. However October seems to mark the beginning
of the Windy Season on the Big Pond. Guests should be prepared to
be flexible for late September Trips. The Sea will be Fishable 80
to 90% of the time.
The Fishing in September is Very Good in St. Joseph, Michigan.
I Chartered in South Haven, MI for years. Many years in South Haven
you’d
be lucky to get 6-8 Bites on a 20 Rod Set fishing 8 hr
Charters. That's why I moved my operation to St. Joseph, Michigan. Here we
have a Natural Migration of Thousands of 4yr Old Adult King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Brown Trout, and Steelhead ready for
their Fall Spawning Run up the St. Joseph River. Note
there are 4yr Old Adult King Salmon with Every Catch.
The 2 & 3yr Old King Salmon
migrate right along with the Adults. Once some of the Adults run
up the River, these 3yr Olds realize their now “Top of the
Food Chain” and they go Crazy. I’ve
had Trips in September where we’d catch 30+ 2 & 3yr Old
King Salmon. We can’t
keep them all, our limit is 3 per Angler, but their fun to catch
and release, while you’re trying for your Lake Trout.

St. Joseph, Michigan Harbor is easily one of the Two or Three
Very Best “Whole Season Lake Michigan Charter Fishing Harbors”
on Lake Michigan. For my money it is the Best. I know I’ve
fished most of the others and through friends hear “What's
Going On” in all of them.
I’m getting Limit Catches in April & May when
their catching 5-6 fish in Grand Haven, and maybe a couple
Browns in Ludington. This year
the Michigan City Coho Classic Pro Tourney will
be Won within 8 miles of the St. Joseph River Pier Head. Pro
boats ran over 30 miles to fish St. Joseph Michigan
Waters. Because that's where the fish are.
Our Lake Michigan Charter Fishing stays reliable from April to
October. “You realistically stand just as good an
opportunity at a Limit Catch of Trout and Salmon May 1, as July 15,
as September 20 with Fin Nailer, LLC Lake Michigan Trout and Salmon Fishing Charters
at St. Joseph, Michigan.” The fishing will change, the
fish we target and catch will change, but that's
fishing. |
